Motor Vehicle Accident
Nevada Fire Department personnel are trained to handle Motor Vehicle Accidents in many capacity's including fluid cleanup, traffic control, ALS Patient care and vehicle stabilization and extrication.
Fire Protection
Nevada Fire Department trains to take an aggressive approach to all kinds of fire protection including structure fires, grass fire and vehicle fires. Our department takes advantage of the Colin College Public Safety Training Center as well as other training sights to ensure our personnel keep their skills up to date.
Technical Rescue
Nevada Fire Department has some personnel trained to the technician level in several disciplines of technical rescue. To ensure the best interest of our citizens we rely on state contracted technical rescue response teams such as Frisco FD and Plano FD.
Mutual Aid
Nevada and surrounding fire departments rely on mutual aid from other fire departments to ensure the best interest of the citizens we serve and the safety of our personnel. Nevada Fire Department contracts with several fire departments in the area including Josephine, Lavon, Farmersville, Royce City and Wylie Fire Department. This means the Nevada Fire Department can request help from the above departments on large incidents and we will respond to requests for help if available.
